Lil Durk Faces Wrongful Death Lawsuit

Lil Durk is facing a wrongful death lawsuit in connection with the 2022 killing of Lul Pab, the cousin and associate of rapper Quando Rondo. The lawsuit, filed by Andrea Laquila Robinson, Lul Pab’s mother, alleges that Durk and his Only The Family (OTF) record label were involved in orchestrating the attack that led to her son’s death.

According to the lawsuit filed in Cook County court, Durk and his associates allegedly planned and funded the targeted attack on August 19, 2022, near the Beverly Center in Los Angeles. Lul Pab, whose real name was Saviay’a Robinson, was shot and killed while riding in a vehicle with Quando Rondo.

This lawsuit follows a federal indictment filed in October 2024, in which prosecutors accused Lil Durk of arranging a murder-for-hire plot against Quando Rondo. The alleged motive was retaliation for the 2020 shooting of King Von, Durk’s close friend, who was killed during an altercation with Rondo’s crew in Atlanta. Prosecutors claim Durk offered five individuals financial incentives and music industry opportunities to carry out the hit.

The lawsuit against Durk is not the first of its kind. In late 2024, the family of slain rapper FBG Duck also filed a wrongful death suit against Durk, King Von’s estate, and OTF Records, alleging negligence and misconduct related to Duck’s murder.

Lil Durk remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Los Angeles, where he awaits trial on federal charges. He has pleaded not guilty and faces life in prison if convicted. His trial was initially set for January 2025 but was postponed to October 14, 2025.

As legal proceedings unfold, this case continues to draw attention, highlighting the intersection of rap culture, street violence, and the criminal justice system.
