Jay-Z and Beyoncé are not playing about their family. According to a report from Page Six, the Carters are considering taking Kanye West to court following some vile comments he made about their youngest children.
Earlier this week, Ye took to X (formerly Twitter) and crossed a serious line. In a now-deleted post, the rapper made disrespectful and discriminatory statements, implying that Jay-Z and Beyoncé’s youngest kids may be mentally challenged. Though he later deleted the post, the internet never forgets, and the damage was already done.
Sources close to the Carters told Page Six that the couple is “not letting this slide.”
“Jay-Z and Beyoncé are aware of the posts Kanye has since deleted and are discussing how they want to handle this situation, whether that be privately and/or in a legal matter,” the insider revealed.
It’s no secret that the bond between Ye and the Carters has deteriorated over the years. From skipping out on each other’s major life events to throwing jabs in music and interviews, their once-solid friendship has slowly dissolved. But this latest incident crossed the line. When Kanye dragged their children into the drama, things shifted from personal to legal.
While neither Jay nor Bey have made a public statement addressing the disrespect, it seems Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, may have subtly spoken about the situation. In one of her signature joke segments on social media, she said: “What happens when a snowman throws a tantrum? He has a meltdown.”
With a knowing smile, she followed up: “Y’all know that’s funny.”
Given the timing, fans quickly took it as a low-key jab at Ye, whose public behavior has been heavily scrutinized for years. Kanye’s unpredictable online rants have cost him high-profile relationships, business deals, and social capital. This time, targeting children might be the motivation that pushes the Carters to take decisive action.
This also adds to a long list of public controversies surrounding Kanye in recent years, including antisemitic remarks, public feuds with other artists, and questionable political affiliations. Despite attempts to rebrand through music and fashion, his habit of turning personal grievances into online spectacles continues to backfire.
If the Carters move forward with legal action, this could become a high-profile courtroom battle. The Carter empire is known for operating with precision and privacy, but they don’t back down when provoked.
Stay tuned.
