Jessie Reyez’s “Psilocybin & Daisies” is a Trippy, Kinky Fantasy

We think Grammy-nominated, five-time Juno-winning singer-songwriter Jessie Reyez just turned on every man in the world. On the chorus of her latest single, “Psilocybin & Daisies,” she beckoned, “So let me fuck you in a field full of daisies ’til we both run dry.” Yeah, she said that. And she meant it. And to be honest, that sounds like a fantastic day!

“Psilocybin & Daisies” is a sultry, expressive track that drips with passion, psychedelic bliss, and raw emotion. Produced by SCUM (SZA) and Warren “Oak” Felder (Sabrina Carpenter, Lizzo), the song flips Smashing Pumpkins’ “1979” into something even wilder. The record is a hypnotic invitation to lose yourself in passion, nature, and maybe a little magic fungi.

To match the dreamy, almost hallucinogenic vibe of “Psilocybin & Daisies,” Reyez dropped an equally mesmerizing live session directed by Jon Primo (Doja Cat, Nicki Minaj). In the clip, Reyez delivers a raw, intoxicating performance, dripping with unfiltered emotion.

Reyez is prepping her next studio album, Paid In Memories, dropping March 28 via FMLY / Island Records. The album boasts features from Ari Lennox, Lil Wayne, Big Sean, and Miguel, blending Reyez’s signature vigor with some of the smoothest names in the game. Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins co-signed the track, saying, “She’s so incredibly talented and has that effortless, honest quality in the voice that I’d admire in the best singers.” Even Reyez knows she’s onto something, cheekily thanking Corgan, the Pumpkins, and “mushrooms” for the creative boost.

Reyez isn’t new to pushing boundaries. From “Figures” to “Imported” with 6LACK, she’s mastered the art of turning vulnerability into sonic fire. And with tracks like “JEANS” with Miguel and “RIDIN” with Lil Wayne, she proves she can switch from heartbreak to heat in a heartbeat.

Reyez is making waves in every lane. She dropped the USA Today best-selling poetry book Words of a Goat Princess. She also delivered an electric take on Bob Marley’s “Is This Love” for the Bob Marley: One Love soundtrack (Grammy-nominated for Best Reggae Album) and even contributed “Child of Fire” to Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon soundtrack.

With an diverse catalog and a whirlwind of global performances, including Lollapalooza 2024 in South America, Australia, and Asia, plus a spot on Jhené Aiko’s The Magic Hour Tour, Reyez is cementing herself as one of the most electrifying artists in the industry.

Grab your flowers, maybe even some shrooms, and take a trip with Jessie Reyez.
