Kesha is stepping into a whole new realm. The platinum-selling, chart-topping, veteran pop star just flipped the switch on her career with the announcement of her long-awaited sixth studio album: ‘. (PERIOD)’ (Yes, that’s the name. Just a period.)
Slated to drop on Independence Day, Friday, July 4, 2025, via her own Kesha Records (distributed by ADA Worldwide), the album marks her first independent project. ‘. (PERIOD)’ follows up the 2x GRAMMY® nominee’s May 2023 offering, Gag Order, which was produced by Rick Rubin and received substantial critical acclaim.
To build anticipation for the forthcoming project, Kesha unveiled the brand new single, “YIPPEE-KI-YAY,” featuring T-Pain, a boisterous, genre-fusing record produced by Pink Slip and Nova Wav. The track bleeds that same energetic chaos that put her on the map in the early 2010s but with a sharper edge and a fearless new cadence. It’s a middle finger to silence.
The new album, . (PERIOD), is a full-on sonic declaration of freedom. No gimmicks, no watered-down narratives. Just 11 tracks of Kesha at her most daring and authentic self. She co-wrote, co-produced, and envisioned the project in its entirety. It builds on the energy of her 2024 streaming giants “JOYRIDE” and “DELUSIONAL,” both of which shook the internet with over 100 million Spotify streams and global chart success, including a strong showing on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs and Pop Airplay charts.
With over 40 million monthly Spotify listeners and a track record of 10 Top 10 hits, Kesha’s return is already looking legendary. Her House of Kesha tour kicks off with sold-out UK shows in Glasgow and Manchester before she hits London’s Mighty Hoopla Festival on June 1. More global dates and a major tour announcement are expected soon.
2024 saw Kesha take over stages from West Hollywood Pride to Lollapalooza and headline Planet Pride in Brooklyn. She also gave a TED Talk, taught a course on “The Alchemy of Pop,” and collected awards like “Music Icon” from Glamour Germany’s Women of the Year.
The . (PERIOD) album is the sound of liberation – 11 tracks that pull no punches:
1. FREEDOM.
2. JOYRIDE.
3. YIPPEE-KI-YAY.
4. DELUSIONAL.
5. RED FLAG.
6. LOVE FOREVER.
7. THE ONE.
8. BOY CRAZY.
9. GLOW.
10. TOO HARD.
