Lila Iké Strikes a Chord with New Single “Too Late To Lie” and Upcoming UK Tour

Jamaican singer-songwriter Lila Iké is pulling no punches with her latest single, “Too Late To Lie,” released on February 28, 2025. The track, a deeply soul-stirring anthem of heartbreak and self-preservation, is the latest preview from her highly anticipated debut album, dropping via Wurl Iké Records & In.Digg.Nation Collective, under an exclusive partnership with Ineffable Records.

With Winta James at the production helm, “Too Late To Lie” is built on a foundation of live instrumentation, swelling from a subtle snare into an avalanche of hypnotic reggae rhythms. Lila Iké’s siren-like vocals glide effortlessly over the arrangement, dripping with raw emotion and conviction.

“I know my life will never be the same,” she sings, reflecting on the sting of betrayal and lessons learned. But beyond heartbreak, the song carries a deeper message about self-protection and guarding one’s energy.

In the Remi Laudat-directed music video, Lila is surrounded by towering speaker boxes, a nod to Jamaica’s legendary sound system culture that laid the groundwork for reggae and dancehall. The visuals complement the deep basslines and dub influences that make Too Late To Lie such a mesmerizing listen.

Lila Iké is also making power moves on stage. She recently announced her first UK headlining tour, where she’ll be backed by her Wurl Band in London, Bristol, and Manchester from April 8-10, 2025. UK Tour Dates:

In 2024, Lila Iké built momentum with singles like “He Loves Us Both” ft. H.E.R. and “Fry Plantain” ft. Joey Bada$$, both of which will appear on her upcoming project. Earlier this year, she was also featured on Mahalia’s “Pressure Points,” proving her versatility across genres.

Lila Iké earned a nomination for Best Reggae Act at the 2025 MOBO Awards and won Best Female Reggae Artist of the Year two years straight at the Caribbean Music Awards in NYC. She’s also graced stages like NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert alongside Protoje.

As she gears up for her debut album and world tour, “Too Late To Lie” is the latest reminder of why she’s destined for greatness. Stay tuned, this is only the beginning.
