Maxwell Announces ‘The Serenade 2025’ Tour with Marsha Ambrosius, Kem, Leela James & Lucky Daye

Maxwell is back to serenade the masses. After shutting down 2024 with the wildly successful Serenade Tour, the R&B icon is spinning the block with The Serenade 2025 Tour, and this time, he’s bringing along an all-star cast to match his timeless energy: Marsha Ambrosius, Kem, Leela James, and Lucky Daye.

If last year’s tour left you wanting more or you missed it entirely, 2025 is your chance to catch a true masterclass in soul, sensuality, and stage presence. Maxwell, known for his ethereal falsetto and genre-defining catalog, will be performing across 23 dates in the U.S. and Europe, revisiting major markets while touching down in cities that didn’t make the cut last year.

The trek kicks off May 2 in Peoria, Illinois, and spans into October, ending in Raleigh, North Carolina. In between, Maxwell will hit Kansas City, Miami, Jacksonville, Atlanta, and more. Fans overseas will catch him at some of the world’s most respected music festivals, including the Love Supreme Jazz Festival in the UK, the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands, and stops in Paris, Madrid, and Helsingfors, Finland.

With a voice that helped define the neo-soul movement, Maxwell is expected to deliver a rich setlist packed with treasured hits like “Ascension (Don’t Ever Wonder),” “Fortunate,” “Pretty Wings,” and the seductive slow burn “Sumthin’ Sumthin.”

Maxwell will be backed by a star-studded support for this outing. Marsha Ambrosius, known for her time as part of Floetry, brings her signature poetic edge and powerhouse vocals. Her solo hit “Far Away” and Floetry’s classic “Say Yes” remain staples in R&B playlists. Kem will bring heartfelt classics like “Love Calls” and the grown-and-sexy anthem “I Can’t Stop Loving You.” Leela James will bring that gritty, soulful energy with “Fall For You” and “Music.” Finally, Lucky Daye, the newest face on the lineup, adds a fresh yet nostalgic feel with tracks like the Grammy-winning “Roll Some Mo” and the electric duet “Over.”
