Nigerian music sensation Wizkid unveils the official music video for his hit single “Kese (Dance).” The track, which debuted in November 2024, is the second lead release from his sixth studio album, “Morayo,” which was released on November 22, 2024.
“Kese (Dance)” is an energetic Afrobeats track that blends English, Pidgin, and Yoruba lyrics over fast-paced rhythms. It embodies a carefree mood designed to light up dance floors. The song showcases Wizkid’s signature blend of Afrobeat rhythms with a fresh, danceable twist, reflecting his evolution as an artist.
The music video, directed by Director K, complements the song’s lively atmosphere. Shot in Lagos, it features Wizkid performing energetic dance routines, weaved with vibrant street scenes and colorful costumes, capturing the essence of the city’s dynamic energy.
Upon its release, “Kese (Dance)” achieved immediate success, breaking the record for the highest opening day streams on Spotify Nigeria. The single also topped the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart on November 30, 2024.
“Morayo,” the album housing “Kese (Dance),” is a heartfelt tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023. The album features collaborations with artists like Asake, Anaïs Cardot, Brent Faiyaz, Jazmine Sullivan, and Tiakola.
As Wizkid continues to promote “Morayo,” fans can look forward to his upcoming tour dates in France, the Netherlands, and Germany. Notably, he is set to perform at the 12,000-capacity Velodrome Arena in Berlin on May 21, 2025, followed by the Ahoy RTM Stage in Rotterdam on May 23, and the iconic 20,000-capacity Accor Arena on May 25.
