Hip-hop mogul Jay-Z, Latin music legend Gloria Estefan, and Sean “Diddy” Combs are firmly denying claims made in a newly filed lawsuit by a Florida man who alleges they witnessed Diddy sexually assault him during a supposed industry event.
The lawsuit, filed in Miami-Dade County, comes amid ongoing legal scrutiny surrounding Diddy, but this case takes a different turn. The unidentified plaintiff claims he was assaulted at a gathering that included several prominent figures, naming Jay-Z, Estefan, music superstar Beyonce, and NBA star Lebron James as witnesses to the alleged incident. However, Jay and Gloria swiftly refuted the claim through their legal representatives, calling the allegations “completely false” and “absurd.”
According to court filings, the plaintiff alleges that the incident occurred sometime between 2003 and 2006 at an upscale South Florida location. The lawsuit accuses Diddy of sexual misconduct and claims that the other two stars were present and failed to intervene or report the assault. The man is seeking unspecified damages for emotional distress and physical trauma.
Jay-Z’s legal team issued a statement asserting: “Mr. Carter has no knowledge of any such event and was not present at any gathering described in the lawsuit. These claims are entirely fabricated.”
Gloria Estefan’s representatives responded with similar messaging: “Mrs. Estefan has never witnessed nor been involved in any scenario remotely resembling the one described. She will vigorously contest any suggestion otherwise.”
Diddy’s spokesperson also denied the claims outright, calling the lawsuit “a money grab” and part of a broader smear campaign amid other legal and public controversies surrounding the Bad Boy founder.
This lawsuit comes as Diddy faces increasing legal pressure on multiple fronts. He is already battling several civil lawsuits accusing him of abuse, harassment, and misconduct, cases that have triggered federal investigations and even a recent Homeland Security raid on two of his properties in Los Angeles and Miami.
Both Jay-Z and Gloria Estefan have clean reputations and long-standing careers that have rarely, if ever, been associated with any criminal investigations.
Including such high-profile names may be an attempt to intensify media attention or leverage a larger settlement, though it remains unclear what direct evidence, if any, the plaintiff is offering to support his claims.
As of now, no criminal charges have been filed in connection to this specific lawsuit. All three parties named have expressed intentions to seek immediate dismissal.
