Young Buck has just been hit with a 30-day jail sentence in Tennessee after failing to meet bond supervision requirements linked to two ongoing cases.
According to Eric Mauldin, Assistant District Attorney for Sumner County, Buck, real name David Darnell Brown, was under bond supervision with GPS monitoring for both a drug case and a domestic violence case. Part of his conditions included twice-monthly check-ins with his assigned supervisor. However, court records show Buck missed multiple scheduled meetings, raising serious red flags with the court.
TMZ said these violations prompted the D.A.’s office to push for an urgent hearing to address his non-compliance. That hearing unfolded on April 7, where prosecutors laid out the details of his absences. The judge didn’t hesitate: Young Buck was immediately ordered to serve 30 days behind bars. Once his jail time is complete, the court will reconvene for another hearing to decide if his bond status will be reinstated or revoked entirely, which could extend his legal troubles even further.
This recent sentence adds to Buck’s long history of legal setbacks. In February 2022, he was arrested in Nashville and booked on a vandalism charge, accused of damaging his then-girlfriend’s vehicle. Before that, in August 2016, he spent a weekend in federal custody after allegedly violating probation by threatening to burn down an ex-girlfriend’s apartment. His legal issues stretch back even further: in 2012, Buck served an 18-month federal sentence for unlawful firearm possession, serving time at Yazoo City Medium Security Federal Prison in Mississippi.
Despite his continued legal battles, Buck’s name still holds weight in hip-hop circles. Known for his early days as part of G-Unit and his gritty Southern flow, fans have remained hopeful for a turnaround in his personal life.
We’ll continue to provide updates as this case develops, including the outcome of the upcoming bond hearing.
