Arlo Parks Soothes The Soul With “Green Eyes”

So far, it seems like everything rising R&B/Soul singer Arlo Parks releases is infectious. She recently dropped off the new music video for her latest single, “Green Eyes,” a record that breathes life into every person that listens.

Slated to appear on Arlo’s forthcoming debut album, Collapsed In Sunbeams, due out January 29, 2021, “Green Eyes” boasts soothing and lush vocals over a bombastic-808 led production. The accompanying Louis Bhose-directed visual swings Arlo’s vibe and concept to life.

“I want to announce my debut album “Collapsed in Sunbeams” it’ll be with you on 29th of January 2021. I poured my tears, blood and joy into this project,” Arlo revealed on social media.

“My album is a series of vignettes and intimate portraits surrounding my adolescence and the people that shaped it,” Parks said of the album. “It is rooted in storytelling and nostalgia – I want it to feel both universal and hyper specific.”

Newcomer Dounia Shows That She’s Fearless with “GREY GOOSE” Single

Dounia gets a helping hand from hit producer Skrillex for her boastful new single, “GREY GOOSE.” On the track, the soulful songstress takes an ambitious stance as a woman as she coos enigmatic and unapologetic vocals about how she carries herself. “I discovered Dounia when she was posting these raw songs that she was creating in her bedroom and her lyrics and the flow of her voice really hit me,” said Skrillex. “We connected and in one day in the studio made this song. She’s one of the few artists who writes off the top of her head- no pen to paper. Very very talented.”

Emeli Sandé Teams With Stonebwoy & Nana Rogues For The Feel-Good “More of You”

UK R&B/Soul powerhouse Emeli Sandé gives us something to be joyful about. The talented songstress shares the single and music video for “More Of You,” a collaboration with Ghanaian Stonebwoy and producer Nana Rogues.

Backed by an intoxicating AfroBeat track, Emeli hypnotizes with her sweet vocals and heartstrings pulling melody. Stonebwoy lift’s the song’s energy with his slick delivery.

“You’re so beautiful, baby, oh lord / And I just can’t help it, no no / You make me so selfish, no lie / There’ll be no sharing / You’re all mine,” Emeli delightedly sings.

H.E.R. Does “Damage” Control With New Video

R&B songstress H.E.R. reveals the brand new visual for her passion-filled new single, “Damage.”

On the record, which samples the 1980s classic, “Making Love in the Rain” by Herb Alpert, Lisa Keith and Janet Jackson, H.E.R. takes us on a sensual and emotional ride that will surely heighten desires around love or the longing for love. H.E.R.’s delivery is captivating as she pours her soul into warning listeners about the damage that can transpire when your significant other takes you for granted.

“All night you could be / Tellin’ me lies, makin’ me cry, wastin’ my time / The whole time, so just be / careful what you take for granted / yeah, ’cause with me know you could do damage,” she sings.

H.E.R. brings us closer to the record with the music video which sees her performing on a beautifully set stage, shot at the Roxie Theatre in Los Angeles, while dressed in 80s-inspired clothing.

H.E.R. can do no wrong as she has always been true to her sound and style.

“Damage” follows H.E.R.’s thought-provoking protest anthem “I Can’t Breathe” and her reggae-inspired track, “Do To Me.” Recently, H.E.R. was seen in the studio with legendary songstress Brandy and platinum songwriter and producer Tone Stith.

Brandy Celebrates ‘Baby Mamas’ + Parenting Tips For Working Mothers

Produced by Hit-Boy & Brandy, “Baby Mama” features classic vocal tones and stacked harmonies, unique to her sound. The song serves as an ode to raising her daughter Sy’rai and a larger anthem to all mothers working hard to support their family. Brandy also coos, “This song ain’t just for me, it’s for every mama yeah…Every day I breathe it’s for my little mama…I’m every woman and a baby mama.”

About the song, Brandy says, “My new single is about embracing the strength and fortitude needed not only in motherhood but in life. I am thrilled that Chance joined me on this track, and I hope my fans find it as uplifting as I intended it to be!”
