Female Rapper 22 Unite Women With ‘Girl Gang’

Shatina “22” Davis enters the rap game with her brand new single, “Girl Gang,” a melodious and empowering ode to women everywhere. On the track, the femcee adds a positive connotation to “gang” as she aims to unify women through love and sisterhood.

In the accompanying music video, the Richmond, VA native spits her bars with her girl gang backing her up. The Will Thomas-directed clip culminates with a little splash painting on a sign that reads: “support your local girl gang.”

Davis’ 22 moniker came about because that’s the age that she decided to take her passion for music more seriously and pursue it as more than just a hobby. She is a proud wife and loving mother of 2. Her motto is to “Walk By Faith and Not By Sight.”

Detroit native Tee Grizzley is back on the attack with the new single, “2 Vaults,” featuring Lil Yachty.

Produced by London On The Track, the track debuted on April 24th but is already a fan favorite with a million plus streams on Spotify alone.

On the track, Tee Grizzley focuses on just how much money he has, rapping, “Too much money, I need two vaults.” Throughout the single Grizzley comments on his nerd friends who do his taxes and importance of keeping his money in tack.

Collaborator Yatchy gives the single a matched tone to Grizzley’s vibe and raps about how he’s under 21, however, has choppas in his name and a host of other materialistic things including $65,000 in his jeans.

These brothas are without a doubt paid, and to accompany all this money, they are in need of two vaults.

Tee Grizzley is back and far from letting up so check out the new single below and be on the lookout for Grizzley’s Activated dropping May 11. Pre-order is available for the project now.

Meet Mike Smiff, an emerging emcee hailing from Miami, Florida. Recently, he dropped “Now,” a single using Tevin’s 90s sample, “Can We Talk.” The song in fullness is dope, if he ever does a remix, would be cool to actually recruit Tevin for the track.

“This concept here is like the glow-up. My coming out party. My life story. I started off f**ked up, in the struggle, I ain’t have sh*t.” – Mike Smiff

Pell Pays Homage in His Single ‘Throwbacks’

Over the years, the industry has seen many artists emerge out of the historic city of New Orleans including industry greats and new era artists Master P, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Juvenile, Dee-1, NBA Young Boy and now Pell.

Pell, a NOLA artist, is taking fans back to the classics by embodying the style of “Slow Jamz” a classic single of the early 2000’s by Jamie Foxx and Twista, with his new single “Throwback” featuring Chicago artist Saba. The record appears on his EP, Girasoul, which he released in December 2017.

Pell’s newest music video not only gives throwback vibes with the melody of the music but also the with the look. The music video was shot with a Super 8 camera giving vintage vibes to the scenery. The visual gives creative vibes as it showcases Pell in his “house,” however, the rooms in his “house” are surrounded amongst out of the norm environments of beaches, streets, and mountain peaks.

According to Pell, “Shooting the video was dope because it was the first time I was shooting this quality of a video with bystanders walking by watching me do it, You could say it was interactive in that way that most of my music videos aren’t.”

This dynamic of the video puts a viewer in needless to say a throwback mindset. Pell’s newest music video can be viewed below so take a ride in the time machine as you prepare for the throwback!
