Jodeci didn't suddenly unveil a new tour this week. The more consequential update is that the group’s Forever My Lady 35th Anniversary Tour, first announced July 28, is already expanding before opening night.

Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte has added a second hometown show for Sunday, Dec. 20, citing popular demand. The new date follows the previously scheduled Saturday, Dec. 19 performance and turns what was supposed to be a single homecoming finale into a two-night closing stand. The group’s official tour site now shows 37 performances across 36 U.S. cities.

The tour begins Oct. 24 at The Masonic in San Francisco and moves through Inglewood, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Detroit, Chicago, Baltimore, Memphis, Houston, New Orleans, Miami Beach and Atlanta before reaching Charlotte. New York-area fans get a Nov. 18 date at Loew’s Jersey Theatre in Jersey City, while Bobby Brown is listed as a special guest for the Nov. 27 stop at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Oklahoma.

The original tour announcement came from Day After Day Productions on July 28, when the agency also disclosed that it had taken on exclusive worldwide representation of the group. Tickets began going on sale that week.

Forever My Lady arrived in 1991 and became the record that established Jodeci’s gospel-rooted harmonies, hip-hop attitude and DeVante Swing-led production as a new center of gravity for R&B. The album reached No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B albums chart and went multi-platinum, while “Forever My Lady,” “Stay” and “Come & Talk to Me” became defining records from the era.

The anniversary campaign is broader than a tour. Universal also brought Forever My Lady back this summer in an expanded 2LP edition with five bonus tracks, including the radio remix of “Come & Talk to Me,” a previously unreleased a cappella version of “Stay” and a 1993 MTV Unplugged performance of “Forever My Lady.” The reissue gives the tour a physical catalog component rather than treating the 35th anniversary as a stage-only celebration.

“Thirty-five years ago, Forever My Lady changed our lives,” K-Ci Hailey and Mr. Dalvin said when the tour was announced. In the same statement, they described the run as being for “the people who stood by us from day one.” The original announcement also said the set would draw from the wider Jodeci catalog, including “Cry for You,” “Feenin’,” “Freek’n You,” “Lately” and “Love U 4 Life,” not only the debut album.

Jodeci formed in Charlotte, and the group is ending the anniversary run at Ovens Auditorium in its hometown on consecutive nights.

For a group whose influence has often been reduced to the phrase “Bad Boys of R&B,” the current run is a more useful reminder of what actually endured: songs that still fill theaters, an album important enough to merit a full anniversary reissue, and enough hometown ticket demand to add another night before the tour even starts.

It also marks another substantial live chapter after a 2025 stretch in which several Jodeci performances were postponed when K-Ci was hospitalized with pneumonia, a development HitsCulture reported at the time. This fall’s anniversary run is scheduled to begin Oct. 24, with the full routing and ticket links available through Jodeci’s official tour site.
