“Being that this is my first video in my hometown DC, I wanted to show the city in a different light, as well as reference some of the things going on everyday in our world. These Things Take Time is a lot brighter than my first project Happy Belated, and I wanted the visuals to also reflect that,? explains Chaz French.

Chaz French is currently touring the west coast with Freddie Gibbs for the ?Shadow of A Doubt Tour.? The tour kicked off on March 20th in Santa Ana, CA and wraps on April 10th in Denver, CO. The talented lyricists will hit major cities including Los Angeles and San Diego. He also made a pit stop in Austin to perform on numerous stages at SXSW.

The?Jr. Saint-directed?black-and-white visual kicks off with?a cinematic intro before MGK begins rapping with a bloody nose.?Rocking a black leather jacket and slicked back hair, he spits bars about Kurt Cobain, drugs, and demons coming to life.

“simplicity [ when it?s done the right way ] says so much,”?MGK tweeted about the clip. “usually when i do videos, i try to create a visual metaphor so that it doesn?t just stop at what you see. there?s layers beneath the surface.”
