Tiana Major9 sings like someone who knows exactly what every line is for, and that intention carries November Scorpio further than mood alone would. The melodies land where you want them, the writing holds up to a second pass, and the album plays start to finish without a track you reach past.
Two of the four additions, 'MORE' at three and 'alright!' at eight, sit among the strongest things here, which is not how deluxe editions usually go. Around them are 'waikiki,' 'fiiighttt' and 'Shook One,' the last a rebuild of Mobb Deep that she has said was the hardest song on the record to clear. The set was made independently through +1 Records and cut between London, Los Angeles and Jamaica, with Yebba trading lines on 'Always' and trumpeter Keyon Harrold playing over 'energy!'
