At the Grammys on Feb. 1, Lauryn Hill built an In Memoriam medley for D'Angelo and Roberta Flack, and during the D'Angelo portion Anthony Hamilton stood next to Raphael Saadiq for "Lady." We traced that moment back to his years singing background on the Voodoo tour. A few songs later in the same segment, October London shared a microphone with Lalah Hathaway on "The Closer I Get to You," the duet Flack recorded with Lalah's father, Donny Hathaway.

The two men never overlapped on the Crypto.com Arena stage that night, although they will share a bill 24 times next year. Hamilton and Fantasia announced Monday (Sept 28) that The Love of Soul Tour will carry them through arenas from February to May of 2027. London is booked as special guest on every date.

The run opens Friday, Feb. 5, at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. and closes Saturday, May 22, at Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. Presales begin Wednesday (Sept 30) at 10 a.m. local time with the code LOVE. The general on-sale follows Friday (Oct 2) at 10 a.m. local time through Ticketmaster, except in Las Vegas, where MGM Grand Garden Arena sells through AXS. Post Road Entertainment, a subsidiary of North American Entertainment Group, is promoting the tour, and the same independent outfit booked the pair's 2025 and 2026 dates.

Fantasia and Hamilton first co-headlined in the spring of 2016, a 26-show North American run, and then went nearly a decade without repeating it. The reunion arrived in 2025, and that fall took them to Baton Rouge, Bossier City, Atlanta, Norfolk, Cleveland and Credit Union 1 Arena in Chicago. A 15-city leg opened this year on Jan. 23 at Spectrum Center in Charlotte, Hamilton's hometown. It wrapped May 2 with Fantasia's homecoming in Greensboro, and a Little Caesars Arena stop in Detroit landed that same month.

Laid over those earlier routings, the 2027 schedule moves the act into larger buildings. New Orleans saw the pair at UNO Lakefront Arena on April 17 of this year, and on Feb. 19 they will headline Smoothie King Center, home of the Pelicans. Chicago moves from Credit Union 1 Arena, the university venue that hosted them last November, to the United Center on May 14.

Several rooms are return visits. Toyota Center in Houston, Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and Spectrum Center in Charlotte all hosted the duo within the last year. State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Scope Arena in Norfolk and Little Caesars Arena in Detroit are back on the list as well. The four western stops are new ground, since Ontario, Calif., Oakland, Phoenix and Las Vegas emerged nowhere on the 2026 leg.

Every show on the trek falls on a Friday or a Saturday, which spreads the 24 dates across twelve weekends and pairs nearby cities on back-to-back nights. Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Fla., is the one smaller room on an otherwise arena-scale itinerary.

Where October London Fits

October London, born Jared Samuel Erskine, became the first artist signed to Cadillacc Music, the label Snoop Dogg and Jazze Pha launched in 2016. He moved to Snoop's revived Death Row Records after Cadillacc dissolved. His Death Row catalog includes The Rebirth of Marvin in February 2023 and October Nights in October 2024. Love Me For Me, a 10-track album produced entirely by Snoop and Soopafly, arrived Aug. 14, so he will open the tour with a record less than six months old.

The promoter's biography leans on the Marvin Gaye comparison and names "Back to Your Place" and "Mulholland Drive" as his calling cards. He has also worked the adult R&B circuit where this audience lives, singing on Boney James's "All I Want Is You" in 2024. Two years later the saxophonist brought Ledisi onto "I Belong To You" for his 20th album.

HitsCulture's read is that London is both the smartest piece of this booking and the one carrying the most risk. A singer whose debut title invokes Marvin Gaye will walk out each night to people who bought Comin' From Where I'm From and Free Yourself when they were new. Those fans know what the old records sound like, and they will hold him against them within the first verse. They are also the listeners most likely to buy his next album if he clears that bar.

The Headliners, by the Record

Fantasia Barrino won the third season of American Idol in 2004, released "I Believe" as her first single and later won a Grammy for "Bittersweet." She played Celie in the 2023 film adaptation of The Color Purple, a role she had first taken on Broadway, and TIME named her to its 100 Most Influential People list in 2024.

Hamilton's lone Grammy came in 2009 for "You've Got the Love I Need," his duet with Al Green, and the Recording Academy now lists him with 18 nominations. Before "Charlene" made him a solo name in 2003, he sang background on D'Angelo's tour behind Voodoo. The promoter bills him as the "narrator of love," and the Obama White House and the Django Unchained soundtrack both sit on his résumé.
