Wait

Connie Diiamond and DreamDoll, both from the Bronx, split “Wait,” a 2:15 DJ AaronOndabeat production that arrives two weeks ahead of Connie's album Unleashed. Connie says the aim was to “give the girls something they could dance to,” and both rappers spend the record spelling out, in explicit terms, that cash outranks commitment.

Freestyles built Connie's following, and her run over Ludacris' “Move” drew an Instagram reaction from LeBron James, while Cardi B commented on her take of “AH HA.” Unleashed follows her Underdog Szn and Underdog Szn 2 projects. DreamDoll comes to the feature after joining Usher onstage at a sold-out MetLife Stadium this summer and releasing her own single, “OKAY.”
