He works from what he absorbed outside rap, guitars and live instrumentation pulled toward rock and alternative, which is why "Running" with Childish Gambino and "Find Me" with Moses Sumney and Mez sound like they belong to the same record despite arriving months apart. Start with those two, then run the album front to back without shuffling, because the transitions carry as much of the argument as the songs.
