Kenny Beats made UNLOCKED with Curry in 2020 as a brand as much as a person, all YouTube sessions and drum kits. He is Kenneth Blume on this cover, and the partnership comes back as two people rather than a rapper and a beatmaker with a bit. They built this one on an SP-404 and a cheap mic, and it is slower than the record that made their name, with space where the first had seventeen minutes of loop-chopping and yelling. Curry has spent the years since becoming one of the two or three most technically serious rappers alive, and Blume has spent them learning restraint.
