At 20 years old, LAILA! is already building a catalog that reflects a remarkably hands-on approach to making music. Two years after her independently released debut Gap Year!, the Brooklyn singer, songwriter and producer returns with We'll Never Be This Young Again, a 12-track sophomore album released through Three Times Louder and Warner Records. Written and produced by LAILA!, the project explores the emotional turbulence of young adulthood, moving through romantic excitement, heartbreak, longing and the anxiety of watching life change in real time.

The album takes its inspiration from LAILA!'s experiences between Brooklyn and St. Thomas, where she has developed part of her creative world. Earlier releases Miss Mango, Anything Could Happen, ANGEL featuring Teezo Touchdown and the title track introduced the project's themes of romantic escapism and personal reflection. With SO MUCH, SO MUCH serving as the album's focus track, LAILA! brings those experiences together in a larger narrative about embracing the present while recognizing how quickly it becomes a memory.

The release follows a breakout period that began with Like That! and Not My Problem, records that helped introduce her songwriting and production to a wider audience. Her 2024 debut Gap Year! subsequently earned year-end recognition from several major music publications, while her growing profile led to consecutive appearances on Billboard's 21 Under 21 lists in 2025 and 2026. Earlier this year, she joined Kali Uchis and Mariah The Scientist on the For the Girls Tour.

For LAILA!, We'll Never Be This Young Again continues a personal creative journey rather than simply extending the success of her viral singles. She describes the project as a collection of stories about love, adventure, heartbreak and letting go, presented with the intimacy of an older sister returning home to share the experiences of a transformative summer. Across 12 tracks, the young artist documents the uncertainty and excitement of becoming an adult while maintaining creative control over her songwriting and production.
