TTW (KAYTRANADA Remix)

KAYTRANADA’s remix of Rochelle Jordan’s “TTW” tightens the song’s dance-floor instincts without losing the cool restraint that made the original work. Jordan’s airy, controlled vocal now rides over KAYTRANADA’s signature off-center drums, elastic bass and clipped rhythmic accents, giving the track more bounce while preserving its sleek R&B core. The pairing feels natural rather than opportunistic: Jordan has long moved between R&B, house and electronic music, and KAYTRANADA has repeatedly proven to be one of her most compatible collaborators. As an early look at the forthcoming Disc 3 EP, due Oct. 9, the remix suggests a project interested less in simply extending Through the Wall than in reopening its songs for the club.
