Terrill’s Seconds expands on the grown-soul foundation of her 2023 debut Feels Like This, with 11 tracks that lean into warmth, melody and classic R&B craftsmanship. Produced largely by Preston Glass, the album favors polished arrangements and lived-in emotion over trend chasing, giving Terrill room to center phrasing, tone and storytelling. Her cover of The Emotions’ “Flowers” reinforces that connection to soul tradition while still fitting naturally into the album’s contemporary setting.

The project also gains texture from Brandon Wattz on “Ain’t My First Rodeo,” a collaboration that adds another voice to an album rooted in experience and emotional perspective. Seconds feels less like a reinvention than a refinement: Terrill sounds more settled in her lane, drawing from classic soul language while continuing to shape a distinctly mature R&B identity.
