Popstar closes the trilogy Tinashe started with BB/Ang3l and Quantum Baby, and it is her first major-label album since 2018, released through Atlantic alongside Nice Life and her own Tinashe Music. The 16 tracks carry no guest features, so every hook sits on her voice, and Zack Sekoff, who co-produced "Nasty," returns on "Too Easy," "Melatonin" and "Pillow Fight." She creative directed the choreography-heavy "Crash Out" video herself, which has kept the visuals as much a part of this rollout as the singles since June.
