Travis Scott has a new record tied to Grand Theft Auto VI, but the most interesting name in the credits is not Rockstar Games. On Thursday (Sept. 17), Scott released “RHYNO,” produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, as one of the first six singles from Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album. Rockstar says the 34-track collection, created in partnership with Atlantic Records, will arrive November 19 alongside Grand Theft Auto VI.

The Guy-Manuel credit gives “RHYNO” a history beyond the usual blockbuster soundtrack placement. The Daft Punk co-founder previously co-produced Scott’s “MODERN JAM” from UTOPIA, with Scott also credited as a producer on that track. 

That makes “RHYNO” less like a one-off novelty pairing and more like another chapter in a production relationship that already had a obvious place in Scott’s catalog.

Rockstar’s September 17 announcement says the soundtrack contains 34 original tracks and identifies six debut singles. Alongside Scott, the opening wave includes Yung Lean with Future and Metro Boomin, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso with PinkPantheress, Fred again.. and Etienne de Crécy, plus new songs from Morgan Wallen, Rauw Alejandro and Keith Richards. The remaining 28 titles were not included in the announcement.

The rollout also makes clear that Rockstar is treating the music as a standalone album rather than a loose collection of licensed songs. The company has opened pre-saves and physical pre-orders, including vinyl and CD editions, while promising more information on the game’s dynamic score and its next version of in-game radio.

Scott has also stayed active through collaborations this month. He appears on “GASS” from Nemzzz’s LOCKED IN, part of the guest-heavy September 4 release slate covered in HitsCulture’s New Music Friday roundup. “RHYNO” moves that run into a different arena, one where the song is part of the marketing plan for a game release as much as it is a standalone rap record.

For Scott, “RHYNO” reconnects him with a producer whose fingerprints already sit on one of the more unusual moments in UTOPIA. For Rockstar, it is an early signal that Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album is being built as its own release cycle, not just background music waiting for November 19.
