RAYE takes "Joy." out of the concert hall and into the streets of London, bringing sisters Amma and Absolutely with her for the song's official music video.

The clip follows the three sisters through the city in a van dubbed the “Joymobile,” stopping to hand sunflowers to strangers and collect the small, unscripted reactions that follow. It is a fitting visual language for a record built around release, faith and the stubborn decision to expect something better after a hard night.

“Joy.” appears on RAYE’s second studio album, THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE., which arrived March 27. The song gives Amma and Absolutely their own vocal turns rather than treating them as decorative guests, allowing the sisters to move the record from RAYE’s testimony into something closer to a family declaration. In Apple Music’s album notes, RAYE calls herself “such a proud big sister” while discussing having both women on the record and on tour.

The track was produced by RAYE and Mike Sabath, with big band and strings conducted by Tom Richards. Its opening draws on a vocal sample from James Brown’s "Damn Right I Am Somebody," placing the song’s insistence on joy inside a longer tradition of Black affirmation rather than reducing it to feel-good pop.

The family chemistry has already been part of the song’s life onstage. RAYE performed “Joy.” with Amma and Absolutely on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert in April, and the sisters reunited for the song during her Reading Festival headline set in August. The official video gives that chemistry a looser setting, replacing stage lights with sidewalks, flowers and passing Londoners.

Otis Dominique directed the visual from a film treatment written by RAYE, Dominique and Mikey Robbins. The release also arrives as the THIS MUSIC MAY CONTAIN HOPE. campaign continues to produce milestones, with “WHERE IS MY HUSBAND!” surpassing one billion Spotify streams. Rather than build toward a glossy narrative twist, this clip stays close to its central idea: joy can be communal, ordinary and handed to somebody else.
